Hi, I’m Ethan. I’ve been scanning film for over ten years, and I started Fidelity to offer high-quality film scanning at reasonable prices, with the kind of care I’d want for my own film.

I work with photographers of all kinds, from professionals preparing work for print or exhibition to people who simply have a photograph they really care about. Whether it’s a single frame or a larger project, the goal is the same: to make the best scan I can from the film you send me.

I scan everything from 35mm through 8×10 using an Imacon Flextight and a Howtek 4500 drum scanner. Over the years I’ve learned that there’s a lot more to getting a good scan than simply putting a piece of film in a scanner. Good equipment matters, but so does knowing how to get the most out of it.
